Absolute protection against judicial measures now applies to all lawyers
On 27 December 2010, the law to strengthen protection of trust relationships with lawyers in the Criminal Procedure Law was promulgated in the Bundesgesetzblatt (Federal Law Gazette I, p. 2261 ) . The law took effect on 2.1.2011 in force. It does § 160a Code of Criminal Procedure. The absolute protection from criminal evidence collection and recovery operations will be extended in future to all lawyers. This also a requirement of the German Bar Association will be implemented, which has rejected the unnatural division of the Bar of defense lawyers and other lawyers always vehemently. For the preventive area is still called for the federal legislature to make a corresponding change in § 20u-BKA Act and the state legislators in their respective police and planning laws

The Advocate is an independent judicial organ. The free, clear communication of the clients with lawyers, whether in defense or not, must be protected in all areas over state fishing expedition.
